Believe it or not, there is a right way to fit windscreen wiper blades. It’s all to do with the anchor point, which on this dial is that and on these others, it’s a recess in the dial. If you have the anchor point in the wrong spot, on the wider sweep of your wiper and your anchor is on the outer edge, if that anchor is faulty in any way, your windscreen wipers are going to work out of the arm and come out, and you’re probably going to scratch your windscreen.
So, the secret is to have the anchor point on the inner arm of your wiper, down the bottom. So when you have that action and the wiper tends to move out of the wiper arm, the anchor will actually stop that from happening and it’ll never come out.
So that’s one thing to remember – and you’re saving your windscreen!
